I infiltrated the exhibition OUT OF SIGHT in De Appel in October 2005, curated by Hou Hanru about the current developments in Chinese contemporary art by replacing official press release with a remake of my name being added to it, together with the insertion of seven different objects responding to each piece of work from the selected seven artists. Being the only virtual artist from Taiwan, I question the subject of the exhibition addressed by Hou Hanru: It is not so much its Chineseness which makes todays Chinese art so significant, as its desire to be independent and to escape from what is expected from it.
